Answers to frequently asked questions

GENERAL

If you are having trouble at any stage of the process, we are happy to help!
Email us at info@presentdaygifts.ca and we will respond in a timely manner.

Don’t worry! Your gift will be a surprise! We require the recipient’s phone number in case we have issues delivering the gift. We will never divulge who it's from or what the gift contains but sometimes we do need to contact the recipient to ensure that they receive their gift. 

If we are unable to safely deliver the gift and you have failed to include the recipient’s phone number, you may be charged a secondary delivery fee to account for the courier’s additional trip.

If you are within Toronto or the GTA, we use a local courier service to deliver your order. You will receive an email notification that your order is being delivered that day, 11am to 6pm for residential and 11am to 5pm for business deliveries.

You will not be contacted again unless there has been an issue with the delivery. Unfortunately, our courier does not offer minute to minute tracking.

For orders being shipped, you will receive an email confirmation with tracking so you can follow your gift along on its journey.

Yes. Send us an email to info@presentdaygifts.ca with your order number and the details of your desired change and we would be happy to help!

For orders containing multiple (between 2-6) shipping addresses, please email info@presentdaygifts.ca and be sure to include the type of gift, each recipient’s full name, address, phone number, and note you would like included with each gift. 

For orders with six or more shipping addresses, as well as corporate orders, please email us to request a large order form.

Yes, you can! Pick up your gift in person from our sister store Baa Baazaar, located at 73 Roncesvalles Ave. Just select “Store Pickup” at checkout and you’ll receive all the necessary details and instructions for picking up your gift from us, at your convenience.

Yes - every gift comes with a handwritten, personal note to your recipient. When you check out, include your message in the box that says "MESSAGE FOR GREETING CARD" in the first step of checkout. If you place your order and miss adding the note, just send us an email to info@presentdaygifts.ca with your order number and note request and we'll add it!

You can use the search function on our website, located at the top left of our homepage. Search by keywords, brand names, or categories!

See the "Make a Custom Gift" on our website to choose items and create a truly unique and personalized gift. Make sure to choose the box or basket first!! 

Unfortunately, we do not offer substitutions on our pre-designed boxes or baskets, so check out our custom offerings to pick and choose exactly what you would like in your gift.

We strive to make our gifts look as close to the photo as possible. However, we do work with smaller makers and artisans who may change their packaging slightly before we have a chance to update the photo.

From time to time it maybe necessary to substitute an item for one that is similar and of equal or higher value. We cannot guarantee that you will be notified when these substitutions occur.

In all cases, we will ensure that the gift is beautiful and a pleasure to receive.

SHIPPING

Shipping rates and delivery times vary depending on where you want the product delivered, your preferred delivery date, and whether it is being delivered within the GTA, Canada or the United States. Our deliveries can be categorized into three groups:

Local Courier – These are hand deliveries within Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area which are made via local courier. Charges are $10 or $15 depending on your location within the GTA. We are usually able deliver within 1- 2 business days (Monday to Friday) within the GTA with a local courier. 

We use UPS to ship boxes across Canada and to the US. Shipping rates are based on the weight of the gift, the distance your gift will be travelling and the service you select. Our website provides estimated shipping times that are "best case scenarios", but please be advised that we cannot guarantee exact shipping times. The shipping times listed when you checkout are estimations of arrival times and are not a guarantee.

US Shipments - We cannot guarantee timing of shipments as Customs holding times can vary. Typically gifts shipped to the US will arrive on the selected date, but they can take longer due to customs or inclement weather for instance.

We typically deliver next-day in the greater Toronto area. If your recipient does not live in Toronto then the gift will require UPS Shipping.

We don't accept same-day requests as our courier picks up orders first thing in the morning and delivers through the day.

Shipped gifts are picked up by UPS at 4pm and delivery can be expected based on the distance and service level, 1 to 5 business days in Canada.

If you are within Toronto or the GTA, we use a local courier service to deliver your order. You will receive an a notification that your order is to be delivered that day between the hours of 11-8pm. Unfortunately, our courier does not offer minute to minute tracking at this time. 

For shipped orders, you will receive an email confirmation containing tracking information so you can follow your gift along on its journey.

Unfortunately, we only deliver throughout Canada and the United States at this time. Orders may originate from anywhere in the world as long as the shipping destination is Canada or the United States.

We use local couriers to deliver products within the GTA, and use Canada Post to deliver orders outside of the GTA to Canada and the United States.

Please note that inclement weather can cause unexpected delays in delivery. In addition, during holidays, estimated delivery times might be longer than usual. If your delivery did not arrive when expected, please contact us at info@presentdaygifts.ca and we will gladly assist. We always recommend erring on the side of caution when selecting a delivery date, especially for areas outside of the GTA.

PAYMENTS & RETURNS

We accept credit cards, including VISA, MasterCard, and PayPal.

You can change your preferred currency at any point while browsing our website. On the top of the page on the left side, you should see your currency. Click on the arrow beside it to switch between Canadian and US dollars. Please note you can pay in either currency and ship to either country (Canada or US).

For gift card purchases please contact info@presentdaygifts.ca with the amount you would like to have on a gift card, your full name and billing address.

Many businesses “mark up to mark down” to provide the illusion of value. We prefer to provide our customers with transparent and fair pricing at all times. We work with top brands and select only the highest quality products, as a result, we are unable to offer discounts. The good news is that the person receiving your gift will know that it came from the best and you can rest assured that you have selected a gift service company that won’t quit until you are satisfied.

If you are the sender of a gift and the gift has not yet been sent out, you may cancel by emailing info@presentdaygifts.ca for a full refund. Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds or exchanges on gifts once they have been sent out.
